Bastiaan Fontein established FinanStaff in 1999 and runs the interim management and executive recruitment practice for finance, accounting, tax and treasury professionals. He began his search career in 1990 with a leading UK based international recruitment firm, specializing in placing qualified accountants from public practice into commerce and industry followed by five years as managing director for the Dutch operations of a US based international finance staffing group. Since then he also focuses on the recruitment of tax and treasury professionals for European and global headquarters of multinational companies. His extensive experience of almost twenty years in search covers a broad range of industry sectors including consumer, financial services, life sciences, technology and professional services.
Bastiaan’s early career was spent in corporate finance. He holds an MBA and is fluent in Dutch and English.
